    Green Screen Tips!

    November 4, 2016

Working with green screens can be tricky, and a complete disaster if you don't know what your doing. Here's a couple tips to keep in mind!

    - Don't wear GREEN!

This might seem obvious, but it's also very easy to forget.

This includes eyeglass frames, little spots or designs on the clothing.

You might get lucky and be able to make it work, but to make things easier for the editor.

    Just don't wear any green.

    - Lighting.

    This is HUGE!
You have any shadows on your green screen, and the image you try to put behind your subject will not appear properly. You need to have even light shinning on the green screen.

    - Movement

Getting a very large green screen can make this something you don't need to worry about as much. ANY movement, a hand, hair, fingers off green screen will make the shot unable to use. Pay attention to this as your actor/actress cannot see behind them, if they move out of the green screen frame.

These might seem like small things, but people often forget the little things.

When using green screens it's the little details that really matter.

Please keep in mind, if you ever wish to have a video done on a green screen, here at Reyjax Media Inc. we have a green screen studio set up and would be more than happy to help you!
